This project is implemented as part of a thematic project (Proc. no. 2019/08474-8), funded by FAPESP. It investigates, using a space-for-time approach, the impacts of climate in an experimental microcosm study along a latitude gradient of about 2000 km (12.6 S – 27.6 S) in coastal forests in southern and south-eastern Brazil. An additional component investigates the impact of climate on the macroinvertebrate fauna and microorganisms in bromelia tanks along an elevation gradient of 2000 m (equivalent of a temperature gradient of ca. 12-18 K).
