There exists data from a partial soil survey of the Park, undertaken in the early 1970s and from some additional recent field work in 2018. It is planned that a grid of 40 points across the Park will be sampled in 2021 and all available data will be used for making a basic soil map of the Park. This base map is planned to be improved by additional sampling so that it can be used in hydrological and other modelling projects.
