Meteorology (AWS, historic data curation)

The site has an automatic weather station that has been operating since 5 March 2020, measuring temperature, relative humidity, total radiation, wind speed and direction, and precipitation.

A class 1 conventional weather station operated at the site between 1973 and 1995 as part of the hydrometeorological network of the Departamento de Águas e Energia Elétrica, São Paulo State. The operation continued after 1995 and quality-checked data are available up to 2002; complete scanned datasheets (not quality controlled or digitised) are available for the period 2002 - 2008.

There are several data sets of pluviometric and weather stations  in the municipality of Campos do Jordão that cover various lengths of periods from 1961 until today have been collected and included in the project database CliDE 5 - Climate Database Login (unicamp.br).

These historic data sets are being quality checked and harmonised for use in detecting climate and weather extremes, trend analyses and modelling.
